Dadfar Photography

About Me

My name is Kav Dadfar and I'm a professional writer and travel and landscape photographer based on the outskirts of London in leafy Surrey.

My photography journey began in university where I had to learn photography as part of my degree. This was in the early days of digital photography so I had to learn using film and my time was spent in darkrooms developing film.

After graduating I spent a few years working as an art director in the world of advertising, I worked on some of the biggest brands in the UK.

But I loved nothing more than photography and travelling. So after a round the world trip, I decided to pursue my real passion, photography. That was 12 years ago...

Since then I have worked on various assignments as well as commercial clients. My images are represented by high end stock agencies such as 4Corners Images, Robert Harding World Imagery, Getty and Axiom.

They have been used by clients around the world such as Condé Nast, National Geographic, Wanderlust travel magazine, Lonely Planet, , Rough Guides, American Express, Daily Mail, Sunday Times Travel and many more.

I am also a writer for the likes of Digital Photography School (one of the most popular photography sites on the web), LifePixel and Expert Photography. At last count I had written over 150 articles on photography.
